About Loop

Coined after the cyclical routes of the elevated train tracks, the “Loop” neighborhood is Chicago’s bustling and vibrant city center. Travel across the city or the nation with easy access to CTA, Metra, and Amtrak lines.

Home to Chicago’s historic theater district, the Loop offers a wide range of
performances every week. Catch a Broadway musical, stand-up comedian, or famous
pop star at one of the theaters.

The loop is also home to Chicago’s Riverwalk. Recently updated and expanded, the
Riverwalk boasts water-front dining options, boat tours, kayak rentals, and unparalleled
views of the city. Taking a stroll along the path is one of the best ways to see the world-
renowned Chicago architecture.

Some of the most notorious Chicago sights and attractions are nestled in the streets of
the Loop neighborhood such as shopping on State Street, Willis (*cough* SEARS
*cough*) Tower Skydeck, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Chicago Cultural Center.
Stop by millennium park to catch a free movie or concert at the Pritzker Pavilion in the summertime, or grab your skates as the plaza turns into an ice rink in the winter
months. Millennium park is also home to “Cloud Gate” – more famously known as “The
Bean”.
